ODISHA GOVT DISMISSES 408 DOCTORS FOR TAKING NON PERMISSIBLE LEAVES
TNI News Service (TNS)
Webdesk, TNI Bhubaneshwar, 15th November, 2015: Odisha Government dismisses 408 Government doctors in a day for taking leaves without notice. It’s one of the biggest ever public dismissals in a day for the doctors by a state government. The reason for dismissals was that the accused doctors were taking leaves without prior notice or against some directives by the State Health Department during the festive days for maintaining the emergency situation. They were further accused of not responding the show cause notice issued to them for their act. Ground realities said that the accused doctors hardly visited their workplace during normal days and during the festive days it was a free run. No one seemed to pay hid to the serious directives issued by the state health department. The show-cause letter issued to them was also ignored by the doctors. Only 4 doctors begged for mercy and were spared. Rests of them were all dismissed from their services with immediate effect.
